Privacy Policy
Last updated:
The short version: Calcuroo does not ask for your personal information, and the numbers you type stay in your browser.
What we collect (and what we don’t)
Calcuroo does not require an account and does not have a database. We do not collect your name, your email address or the numbers you type into the calculators. All calculations run in your own browser and are never sent to us.
Information stored in your browser
To make Calcuroo easier to use, we save a few things only in your own browser, using local storage:
- your theme choice (light, dark or system);
- your Quick calculator and Scientific calculator history (the last 50 entries in each);
- your favourite calculators.
This data never leaves your device, and we cannot see it. It is not shared between your devices.
You can delete it at any time: use the “Clear history” button in a calculator’s history, “Clear all” in Your favourites on the homepage, the button below, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.
Calculators embedded on other websites don’t save anything.
Calcuroo’s own pages do not set cookies.
Fonts
Our fonts are hosted on our own website. Your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other font service when you visit Calcuroo.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share your email with anyone.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify you.
Embedded calculators
Other websites can embed our calculators. An embedded calculator is shown in an iframe loaded from calcuroo.net, and this policy applies to it in the same way.
Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
We may show ads served by Google. If we do:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits to our pages. If we add analytics, we will update this policy to explain what is collected.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and to ask us to delete it. Normally we hold none. The only exception is emails you have sent us, which we will delete if you ask. We do not sell personal data.
Children
Calcuroo is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add ads or analytics. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
